Making decent amounts of AdSense cash is the ultimate goal of all AdSense Publishers. The idea of a few hundred dollars rolling in every month, just from the traffic passing through your site is an attractive preposition to anyone.
But reaching that goal of earning good amounts of AdSense cash has proved elusive to most webmasters. The simplicity and ease of use of Google's AdSense scheme isn't reflected at the other 'money collecting' end of the process.
It is notoriously difficult to convert an AdSense website into a real money making enterprise. This is due to a number of reasons. Firstly, more often than not, the pay-per-click is often extremely small. To make real AdSense cash you often need large amounts of traffic passing through your site and this is difficult to achieve under normal circumstances.
Secondly, the scheme has become more tightly regulated. It isn't as easy to find loopholes within AdSense that you can exploit to your financial benefit. Google have grown wise over time and they have developed a number of technologies and rules to ensure that their pay-per-click scheme runs fairly and smoothly.
And thirdly, and possibly most importantly, AdSense wasn't created as a means of making prodigious amounts of money... for Publishers. It was developed to give Google an alternative means of displaying the ads it was getting through its enormously successful AdWords scheme. AdSense Publishers were secondary to Google's primary aim; which was the making of money.
To achieve their aims and incorporate their scheme into the sites of Publishers they needed to ensure that the clicks on their ads originated only from genuine user interest. If clicks came from different sources (webmasters clicking on their own ads for example) advertisers will quickly lose faith in the scheme and Google AdSense will ultimately fall apart. So Google needed the scheme to work so that it could make some money... for Google.
So how can you use this knowledge to make some AdSense cash?
Making decent amounts of AdSense cash is a long-term game. It requires that you learn everything you can about AdSense before starting a project. The most successful webmasters are extremely diligent, patient and flexible. They are determined, they are aware that AdSense is a long term endeavour and they can change and adapt their strategy depending on the situation. Short-term strategies geared towards making AdSense cash in most instances require that you cheat. They can work... but such methods are incredibly risky and can get you banned.
To make 'decent' amount of AdSense cash, you need to create a 'decent' website. It probably has to be quite large and it has to be of a good quality.
To make the most out of the scheme, it is best to base the website on a good AdSense niche theme. But acquiring one requires a lot of research and planning. However, the hard work can result in you controlling a large chunk of traffic dedicated to the niche in question. And when it comes to earning AdSense cash, traffic is a major determinant.
So the key to making AdSense cash lies in your character, your expectations and your understanding of the AdSense scheme. As long as you are willing and are able to work tirelessly; as you would for any successful business you will eventually be earning decent amounts of AdSense cash.
